Alex Gilbert MNAEA MARLA
Born in London and raised locally, Alex has been in the family business since 2009 and has worked his way up from office junior to his current role looking after the Hither Green office. Alex's love for property started with wanting to be an Architect throughout school although when leaving sixth form, he went straight into the office to help out with day to day duties and has stuck around ever since. He gets his fix for all things property and architecture by valuing over 300 homes a year for the local residents of Hither Green.
Outside of the office, he spends most of his time eating out, in the gym, or playing golf if the weather's good enough.

Jack Lowis MNAEA
Having had a diverse background in hard sales Jack joined us when we opened our Hither Green Office in 2014 and was immediately at home. Having worked his way up from a junior fresh-faced negotiator to assistant manager, Jack now oversees our Catford office and has seen the office become the number one office in SE6 with the most sales agreed in 2020 & 2021.
A keen eye for the intimate details of a property from flooring to pendant lights, Jack has a real passion for property and interior design.
Away from the office, Jack is often being run ragged by his two toddlers George and Jessica or working away redecorating his house. Failing that, you can find him in the Catford Tavern or Ninth Life enjoying a lager and watching Tottenham Hotspur lose!

David Vincent
David first joined Stanfords some three and a half years ago and hasn't looked back since. David's background was in retail, and he has grown into the role and developed into a senior position. A very honest and calm approach conveys perfectly when going through the progression period. David is the steady hands you want to be in.
David loves that no two days are the same and the diversity of the role means has gained him a plethora of skills, including perfecting our in-house photography.
Outside of work, David and his fiancé can mostly be found walking their two energetic dogs or planning their 2022 Christmas wedding!

Matthew Ryan
From the garden of England, Matt has rented all over London trying to find a place to call home. He is a personal trainer turned estate agent, now studying to become a member of the NAEA. He has a soft spot for mid-century architecture, and knows his stuff when it comes to lettings.
When away from the office you will find Matt in the gym, cycling or sampling craft beers – he recommends the Bottle Bar for a great craft beer!

Alex Morgan
He is by far the tallest person in the office. Alex supports the rest of the team by tidying up behind them, and can give David Bailey a run for his money. He is the man with all the answers – and if he doesn’t know, he will find out who does and come back to you.
He couldn’t care less for football, and is adamant that rugby is the proper sport. He knows over 100 vegan friendly recipes.

Everything we do is a little bit different
-
1It’s not a desk job
Our work days are rarely routine, which can be a blessing. Our skillset is varied; whether we are selling a new property that has come to the market, handling clients that have dropped by in the office, or negotiating through a new challenge that has presented itself, different tasks require attention and focus. Whether visiting a property, breaking down a survey, understanding a solicitor's legal jargon or marketing for new clients – everyday offers a chance to do something worthwhile.
-
2We like people
We meet people all the time, from all walks of life. Sometimes in good times, sometimes not so much. If you are good with people, outward in your personality and care about those who you meet, then working with Stanfords could be for you.
-
3Talent and focus
Being reactive is not productive. There is a lot of competition out there from all avenues and a Stanfords agent needs to be more energetic, determined, knowledgeable and understanding to stand out from the crowd and not blend into obscurity.
-
4Smart and experienced
People buy from people. People they like, people they trust, people they feel are honest and informed. Having integrity and building a positive reputation requires you to be smart when dealing with clients and negative objections. Experience comes from handling those and learning that everyday there is always something new.
Our diverse set of skills
Property
Understanding what property is. Whether it be architecture, the home, a passion, investments; property means something different to everyone. To us, it's a way of life and we need the marketing skills to go with it.
Knowledge
We educate our people rigorously. There are so many facets to our work and we want our teams to be able to cover all those bases between them. Legal or structural, we make it our business to understand.
Administrative
With laws and legislation, rules and regulations, we understand our place and buy into all our property transactions.
Negotiation
Being an estate agent requires you to back yourself. Providing a positive service demands effort, resolve and integrity. It's rewarding for those who can do that successfully and promote a positive reputation.
Communicating
The beauty of a local agent is that we are present. We don't hide behind email addresses, websites and automation – you can find us in a physical location where you can pop by.
Negotiating
Selling in any industry in the twenty-first century requires effort, resolve and integrity. Building a positive reputation is important to us.
